GentaCare Injection – Gentamicin Sulfate
ANTIBIOTIC, ANTIMICROBIAL, ANTI-INFECTIVE
Gentamicin sulfate injections are an aminoglycoside antibiotic used to prevent and treat bacterial infections. Gentamicin sulfate injection is derived from the growth of an actinomycete called Micromonospora purpurea. This medication works by killing and stopping the growth of bacteria. To prevent the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of the medication, gentamicin sulfate injection should only be used if the infection is proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria.
